DoctorsAct missions 2016. 31st July-6th August.

DoctorsAct is hosting our fifth Medical Mission Outreach trip to Namibia and Ghana. Our team of medical and non-medical volunteers will set up clinic in various rural communities.

The main aims of our outreach is to provide:

-Health education

-Primary healthcare services and treatment

-Specialty services and healthcare screenings including : blood pressure, diabetes, HIV, and Hepatitis screening.

-Spiritual/emotional support and counseling

TARGET: Approximately 5000 people living in Otupicho and neighboring rural communities Babiani in Ghana and Windhoek in Namibia.

The residents of these rural villages lack the resources and access to basic quality healthcare and as result suffer and even die from a variety of preventable diseases and/or untreated illnesses such as diabetes, uncontrolled hypertension, typhoid, a variety of waterborne illnesses, dehydration, infections caused from wounds as well as complications from HIV, Hepatitis and Malaria.

Funds are being raised to help provide supplies such as essential medications like vitamins, antibiotics, pain medications, and IV fluids.

We are also in need of medications, essential medical supplies and equipment such wound care kits, blood pressure cuffs, glucometers, etc.

We can't do this alone. "Individually we are a drop. Together we are an ocean." -Ryan Sataro.

Let's unite in love and spread health and wellness throughout the world.

Thank you so much for sowing your love seeds to help make this mission a reality.

P.S.: The donations will NOT be paying for our volunteers to attend this trip or for accommodation.

ALL donations will strictly benefit the men, women and children we will be caring for.
